Looks like the ham hocks I use to make split pea soup. (Smoked ham hocks are best)
The longer you boil the meat with onion, carrots, and spices, the richer the broth or stock is. A really good winter meat.

Yup, this was basically a ham hock. This really did remind me of your soup, even without the peas, so if I ever find another one of these I'll be asking for your recipe.

My boss is the best. I'd LOVE another coworker, even if it means having to share all the good stuff. I'm the only teacher and I really miss having coworkers...
